True Fit Corporation, a global eCommerce company specializing in Retail SaaS and DaaS, is hiring a self-directed and experienced Controller to oversee the company’s financial accounting activities.  We seek a highly motivated, detail focused individual with a team-oriented mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.

This position represents an outstanding opportunity to partner with the CFO to provide Finance and Accounting leadership in support of an ambitious and fast paced global eCommerce and data company. This is a highly visible role and will work closely with True Fit’s Leadership to drive financial and accounting strategy, monitor accounting systems and execute on an ambitious corporate growth plan. This role supervises one Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly and annual operating budgets in coordination with the CFO and departmental leadership
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company
  • Deliver monthly departmental operating reports with variance to plan analysis and review with Executive Committee members
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Maintain and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures and industry best practices
  • Provide leadership and supervision to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage and maintain procedures and best in class accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP and controls in the audit, design, and documentation of internal controls and financial reporting infrastructure. 
  • Oversee FP&A and accounting operations, including general ledger, tax, treasury, statutory reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, R&D tax credit preparation, revenue recognition, and the external audit process. 
  • Administer monthly accounting close process and continuously improve processes to scale with the growth of the organization. 
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance with required tax filings, including income taxes, withholdings, and other similar responsibilities. Ensure timely submission of all federal, state, and international tax filings. 
  • Act as the primary liaison to external auditors and manage all formal audits and reviews. Lead the coordination and support of the independent auditors in their annual audits and the presentation of the results to the CFO, and Board of Directors
  • Lead the accounting, reporting and control functions to safeguard the integrity of all financial information, ensure risks are identified and properly addressed and accounted for in accordance with current accounting standards 
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of reports of internal financial results for distribution to management, the Board of Directors, and other internal or external committees. Work with CFO to prepare board materials and in completing ad hoc analysis. 
  • Review financial results and develop insightful analytics to drive business decisions. 
  • Coordinate with insurance broker and carriers to properly mitigate risk.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance discipline
  • Accounting designation (CPA), or an equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
  • Experience with Foreign Subsidiaries, Foreign Exchange and consolidation helpful
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work closely with a senior management team
  • Collaborative work style in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to navigate between strategic thinking and tactical execution. 
  • High level of comfort working with and influencing all levels within the organization. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
